テーマ Theme 1) Reading texts taken from a variety of materials and responding to those texts in writing.
2) Experiencing process writing which involves writing multiple drafts of one piece of writing.  
概要 Synopsis Students will be exposed to a number of different reading materials chosen from authentic texts and will have writing tasks related to the those materials. The topics will cover current events, identity, aspects of popular culture and their own experiences.  
到達目標 Aim Develop one's reading and writing ability through regular activities using a variety of materials. Learning to write IN English and not rely on translation software. Appreciate the process of revising a piece of writing through several drafts, seeing how the paper develops and improves through the student's own efforts.  
授業形態 Class style Level 2) Students will read materials provided through Moodle. They will respond to the reading and submit drafts multiple times through Moodle.  Teacher will comment on drafts and ask for revisions.
Level 1)  In addition to Level 2 activities, students will share drafts of their writing with classmates.

準備学習・事後学習 Preparation, review Students should read the assigned reading and submit written homework as directed. They should check vocabulary and write questions about what they do not understand.  
学外授業 Outside activities None.  
成績評価の方法と基準 Evaluation&criteria Students will be evaluated by their homework assignments 70%,  and final paper 30%.  
定期試験期間中の試験実施方法 Exam period 1. 【 】 定期試験期間中に筆記試験を実施する。An exam will be held during the exam period.
2. 【 】 定期試験期間中に単位レポートを課す。A report must be submitted during the exam period.
3. 【〇】 定期試験期間中には筆記試験・単位レポートを実施しない。No exams or report are required during the exam period.
