Developing a collaborative project that requires learning about a topic of interest and reporting on it to the rest of the class. Use of internet resources or other digital material such as videos is encouraged.

概要
|
English Workshop themes will be negotiated with students at the first class. Collaborative activities that involve researching topics decided by the students and preparing that information for poster sessions or other types of presentations will be the main focus of each class.
|

|
Students will continue to develop their English skills and also widen their view of the world through engaging with multimedia material that features intercultural communication.

授業形態
|
演習方式 Students are expected to be active participants in this class. They will work on projects with classmates and prepare a presentation of their work in English. Small group work, individual and group progress reports, will be done regularly. Teacher will interact with all students informally and spontaneously.

内容・スケジュール
|
Week 1 Introduction of class goals, negotiation of themes to be explored
Week 2 Multimedia contents use explored: viewing video clip, analysing contents
Week 3 Further viewing of video, contents analysis, followed by discussion
Week 4 Final viewing of video, discussion of contents, exploration of themes
Week 5 Group work on developing presentation that explores further analysis of video
Week 6 Presentation of group work using posters or other presentation methods
Week 7 Planning for independent group work for the rest of the semester
Week 8 Groups present about their possible topics and data collection
Week 9 Groups do further brainstorming and allocate roles for each member
Week 10 Short reports on project progress, with question and answer session
Week 11 Groups prepare vocabulary and reference list related to their topic
Week 12 Groups prepare outline of presentation and troubleshoot with instructor
Week 13 Groups practice presentation and get feedback from instrutor
Week 14 Final preesntations are recorded and feedback session after each group
Week 15 View final presentation recordings and reflect on growth and issues

準備学習・事後学習
|
Students will keep a record of their activities done in and outside of class. They should come to class having done the homework and ready to participate in classroom activities, having the necessary materials and equipment such as electronic dictionaries, notebooks, etc.

成績評価の方法と基準
|
平常点。ワークシート提出（30％）、小レポート(20％)、発表(50％)により総合的に評価する。
